Chlorella is a superfood that is beneficial in health, beauty, and fighting disease.
Chlorella might as well put on a cape and be a super hero. This super food comes with a power punch. For those who are not familiar with Chlorella, it is a type of algae that grows in fresh water. Using Chlorella as a food source dates to the late 1940s and early 1950s. Much research has been done since then to discover the many benefits Chlorella has for our health. I have been a fan of Chlorella for some time now. I introduced Chlorella to my family after reading of its many benefits. My oldest daughter now takes it regularly in the morning with her tea.
Chlorella is known for its high content of chlorophyll. It is also rich in beta carotene, protein, and nucleic acids. Chlorophyll contributes to health because it contains powerful antioxidants and anticancer elements. Beta carotene is the forerunner of Vitamin A. Once our body converts beta carotene it contributes to healthy skin, eye health and vision, mucous membranes, and building immunity. Protein is useful in building and repairing tissues in the body. Nucleic acids have an important role in the body of storing information, that information is used to make proteins. You can see how interconnected these super nutrients are in providing benefits for us. Chlorella is also used for detoxing and as a beauty routine benefiting hair and nail growth.
How to Take Chlorella
Chlorella can be taken a few different ways. It is available in tablets and powder. I have had both. When taking them in tablet or pill form the suggested range for both is 4-8 grams daily.
