#10. Flaxseed is 1 of 4 things you should have for breakfast every day.

Flaxseed is rich in fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and lignans. When matched with generous amounts of water, fiber helps to clear your colon of waste, which supports healthy weight. Omega-3 are good fats that are great for your heart. Lignans scavenge free radicals in the body supporting proper cell growth.

With those benefits in mind, it is not surprising that consumption of flaxseed protects against cancers in the prostate, colon, and breasts. Flaxseed supports lower cholesterol, which is a key factor in heart and circulatory health guarding against health disease. You can expect a lower chance of diabetes resulting from flaxseed’s impact improving blood sugar regulation. As the effects of aging become prevalent, flaxseed has been shown to prevent hot flashes.

Adding flaxseed to your daily routine will result in long-term benefits. Pick it up in ground form for better absorption of its benefits, or in pill supplement form from a 100% pure provider. You can add it to oatmeal, cream of wheat, grits or even cold cereals.

Major side effects reported include constipation, diarrhea, and flatulence. In order to offset some of these, drink your 8-10 glasses of water per day. Stretch and strengthen. Eat balanced meals.
